Thin-walled structures (Тонкостенные конструкции)
Тонкостенные конструкции составляют важную и растущую долю строительной индустрии, в тех областях, где их применение становится все более разнообразным: от аэропортов, мостов, кораблей и нефтяных платформ до промышленных зданий и складов.
Многие факторы - экономические, появление новых материалов и технологий, методы анализа способствовали этому росту, в результате чего появилась необходимость в данном журнале, занимающемся непосредственно конструкциями, в которых возникают проблемы из-за недостаточной толщины стен.
Сюда относятся: холодногнутый профиль, плоскостные сооружения, тонкостенное пространственное покрытие здания, армированные пластмассы и алюминиевые конструкции, имеющие большое значение во многих отраслях техники.
Главным критерием для рассмотрения статей, предоставленных в журнал, является их прямая связь с тонкостенными конструкциями или с основными проблемами, присущими тонкостенным структурам, включая теорию, экспериментальные исследования, дизайн и т.д
